  • Reservations open March 28, ahead of the April 1 launch

The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto has announced the opening of La Prairie SPA, the first hotel spa in Asia to exclusively feature La Prairie products. Set to unveil on April 1, the spa combines Swiss precision and craftsmanship with Kyoto’s refined aesthetic sensibilities, offering guests a unique wellness experience rooted in both innovation and tradition. The concept emphasizes “quiet excellence,” aligning with Kyoto’s appreciation for understated elegance, balance and the beauty of time.

The interiors of La Prairie SPA build upon the hotel’s serene atmosphere, designed to deepen the quality of guest experiences. Treatments include both signature La Prairie offerings and original rituals created specifically for The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto. Highlights include the Harmonizing Stone Journey, a 120-minute hot stone massage paired with a facial; the Bamboo Vitality Ritual, which uses warmed bamboo sticks to release tension and restore radiance; and the Swiss Energizing Leg & Scalp Ritual, a shorter 45-minute treatment focused on refreshing circulation and clarity.

Under the leadership of General Manager Carlos Tarelo, the hotel continues its mission to elevate well-being through refined partnerships. Reservations for the La Prairie SPA will officially open through the hotel’s website on March 28, 2026, with future plans to introduce limited offers and collaborations with the resort’s dining experiences.
