TANY, the director of IMA:ZINE in Osaka, is set to officially launch his own fashion brand, SONICAM. Guided by the core concept of “Armor for who I am,” the label reinterprets contemporary streetwear as a protective yet comfortable form of self-expression. Drawing from TANY’s personal journey, SONICAM aspires to discover “small miracles” in daily life, translating ephemeral feelings into beautifully tailored garments that allow the wearer to remain unapologetically themselves.
The lookbook for the brand’s debut collection introduces a range of pieces that emphasize clean lines, modern silhouettes and versatile styling, reflecting the brand’s ethos of blending minimalism with cultural nuance. Materials are chosen for both durability and comfort, while the color palette leans into understated tones that allow for layering and personalization. Each item is crafted with attention to detail, highlighting SONICAM’s ambition to establish itself as a fresh voice in the fashion landscape.
The first drop comprises nine essential items characterized by refined silhouettes and military inspirations. Key styles include big-silhouette tailored jackets designed to mimic armor and cargo slacks inspired by the classic French military M-47. The collection also features functional everyday staples, such as a distressed duck-fabric work vest, Merino wool turtlenecks, and versatile logo caps available in eight different colorways, including pink, burgundy and dark navy.
The first delivery of SONICAM’s debut collection will be available starting February 14, exclusively at IMA:ZINE.
