Summary

  • Nike has officially announced the reintroduction of ACG as a specialized outdoor-performance brand focused on trail running, hiking, and exploration
  • The initiative integrates the Nike Trail line into the ACG ecosystem to streamline innovation for outdoor athletes of all skill levels
  • Expanded efforts include the growth of the All Conditions Racing Department and the opening of the first standalone ACG Base Camp in Beijing

Nike ACG is entering a new era as the brand formally reintroduces the “All Conditions Gear” line as a dedicated outdoor-performance entity. Moving beyond its recent lifestyle-leaning trajectory, the updated ACG mission focuses on delivering high-performance footwear and apparel specifically engineered for trail running and mountain environments.

The reintroduction serves as a strategic pivot to unify Nike’s outdoor offerings. By transitioning the existing Nike Trail category into the ACG umbrella, the brand aims to leverage decades of running expertise to develop technical solutions like the ACG Ultrafly and the ACG Zegama. On the apparel side, the collection will feature purpose-built pieces such as the Radical AirFlow racing top and the Lava Loft down jacket, both designed to withstand extreme mountain conditions.

Beyond product innovation, Nike is investing heavily in the cultural and competitive aspects of the outdoor community. The All Conditions Racing Department has expanded its roster to include elite trail runners from the US, Japan, and Korea who will assist in testing prototypes. Furthermore, ACG is increasing its global footprint through new partnerships with independent trail races and the launch of the ACG Base Camp, a flagship retail concept in Beijing’s Taikoo Li Sanlitun shopping center designed to serve as a hub for the modern explorer.

The first ACG Base Camp is set to open this month in Beijing, with additional product rollouts and activations scheduled throughout the year at Nike locations and the official ACG webstore.
