Carhartt has officially introduced the Steel Series, an all-new collection of heavy-duty workwear engineered to perform in the toughest environments. Designed around the motto “Forged for the Toughest,” the system combines advanced material engineering with targeted protection to support natural movement without adding unnecessary weight.
The Steel Series centers around three core performance pillars: zoned protection using reinforced overlays in high-wear areas, integrated stretch for enhanced mobility, and high-tensile abrasion resistance. To achieve these standards, Carhartt engineered specialized Ny-co (Nylon-Cotton) infused fabrics tested directly against traditional duck, canvas, and fleece materials.
The debut collection comprises six functional styles, led by the Steel Braddock Jacket and Steel Braddock Bib Overall—both delivering four times more abrasion resistance and double the stretch of traditional stretch duck. The range also features the Steel Bridgeport Sweatshirt, crafted from fleece offering twice the abrasion resistance of standard 10.5-ounce fleece, alongside three pant silhouettes: the Relaxed Straight Steel Braddock Pant, Relaxed Tapered Steel Buffalo Pant, and Relaxed Straight Steel Baltimore Pant. Notably, the Steel Braddock Pant provides ten times the abrasion resistance and triple the tensile strength of standard stretch canvas.
The Carhartt Steel Series launches today, via Carhartt and select retailers nationwide.
