Byredo’s experimental Byproduct line makes its ready-to-wear debut with two new Rizon Leather silhouettes that meld Indian textile heritage and Italian artisanship. Crafted in vegetable-tanned calfskin – an embrace of tradition that develops a unique patina over time – both pieces reflect a fresh dialogue between old-world craft and contemporary design.
The Rizon Leather Jacket conceals hand-stitched quilting panels repurposed from vintage Indian saris within its lining, weaving South Asian patterns into the garment’s heart. Its counterpart, the reversible Rizon Leather Vest, flips those same sari-derived blankets to the exterior, transforming bold, storied motifs into a show-stopping statement against smooth leather.
