Aston Martin Unveils Three Bespoke DB12 S Models at Pebble Beach to Honor Its 1950 Le Mans Racing Heritage

Aston Martin has unveiled a trio of bespoke DB12 S models created by its Q by Aston Martin customization division to honor the 75th anniversary of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Collectively known as the VMF collection, the one-offs pay tribute to the original 1950 and 1951 Le Mans DB2 racing team. Those historic factory and private entries were famously identified on the track by their distinct grille colors and British registration plates beginning with VMF.
By focusing on these obscure mid-century registry numbers rather than broad heritage pastiches, the brand delivers a deeply rooted homage aimed squarely at dedicated motorsport enthusiasts. Each modern interpretation wears a Carbon Black exterior to emphasize its specific accent color. VMF 63 features Rosso Red details, VMF 64 uses Speed Yellow and VMF 65 sports Ellwood Blue highlights across its grille vanes and carbon fiber side strakes. Design modifications also include a silhouette of the historic DB2 on the Aeroblade rear spoiler and commemorative 75 graphics on the fenders.
The color coordination extends directly into the cabin. The customization team added contrast stitching that matches each respective exterior theme. DB2 silhouettes are embroidered into the front seatbacks while rear passengers see exclusive 75 roundels. The driver environment receives a color-matched start-stop rotary controller and painted paddle-shifter tips to finalize the curated aesthetic.
Underneath the bespoke bodywork, the grand tourer retains its aggressive performance upgrades. The coupe is powered by an AMG-sourced twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 producing 690 horsepower. The powertrain pushes the vehicle from zero to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds and allows a top speed of 202 mph. The mechanical package includes a revised eight-speed gearbox, carbon-ceramic brakes, recalibrated adaptive dampers and a stiffened chassis.
These special editions debuted in Monterey alongside the public premiere of the Vanquish 25. Built to mark 25 years since the original V12 Vanquish arrived in 2001, the anniversary model is restricted to just 50 units worldwide. The highly exclusive production run will be split evenly between coupe and Volante body styles.
