Birkenstock 1774, a high-end line that focuses on refined materials and detail, has unveiled a new platform, ENSEMBLE 1774. This platform is centered in a Paris-based creative studio, inviting innovative designers for collaboration to reimagine the classic existing models. The first release of the platform will be the three exclusive models introduced by footwear designer Thibo Denis, who is known for his designs for Dior and Louis Vuitton.
The idea of “climbing the city” is the theme of the whole collection, featuring a color palette inspired by Yosemite in the 1970s. Building up on Birkenstock‘s timeless DNA, three new silhouettes are released with the combination of athletic energy with an outdoor spirit. First up is the Uerzell, a slip-on mule in taupe, plasma, or maroon crafted with soft suede and a cork midsole. Paired with a pair of thin laces, it is a modern reinterpretation of the classic sandal.
The collection continues with the Stroedt, a low-profile lace-up model. The single-strap wrapped around the upper pays tribute to the iconic design of Birkenstock’s sandals. Available in black, bone, and plasma, it combines everyday functionality with simplicity. Finally, characterized by voluminous proportions and chunky laces, the Goerlitz is crafted from luxurious suede and comes in three colors: black, brown, and mink. Each silhouette features Birkenstock’s iconic bone-pattern on the outsole and is printed with the blue 1774 symbol. From every detail, this collection showcases the brand’s craftsmanship to the fullest.
