Aminé has offered a first look at his forthcoming New Balance Biblioteca 2000, announcing a release date for October 3 in a new post on Instagram.
After taking a spin on the 740 and 610, Aminé shifts his gaze to the ABZORB 2000, a 2000s classic inspired by technical runners. The existing 2000s feature a full-length combination of ABZORB cushioning and ABZORB SBS pods. With a smooth and sleek upper design, the shoe boasts a forward-thinking, futuristic sensibility. The acid green foundation is further enhanced by glow-in-the-dark sole units and a high-gloss finish. Finally, the pair comes with custom packaging, inspired by the bookdrop at the North Portland Branch Library and emblazoned with Aminé’s New Balance wordmark.
Along with the detailed shots of the candy green sneaker, the artist is encouraging followers to donate to his local Portland library for a chance to win a pair. “Please donate a book to our local Biblioteca located at 207 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Portland, OR. Donations will be open till September 10th – tag me in a story/post of your proof of donation for a free pair,” he said in the Instagram post.
