Nike’s Elite Youth Basketball League (Nike EYBL) is known not only for bringing together some of the best young hoopers, but for being the subject of many exclusive sneakers from Nike Basketball.
We previewed a Nike KD 18 “EYBL” back in April and now have another special pair to inspect with an Air Jordan 3 “EYBL” sample surfacing. Considering how Jordan Brand silhouettes are not typically involved in the Nike EYBL program, this design is sure to be one of the most sought after pairs to date. This “EYBL” iteration of the Air Jordan 3 starts with a white leather upper, combining with lavender, maroon, and black detailing at the tongue and lacing system. Where it stands out most is the heel, which sees a galaxy-like purple, white, and red collide across the heel tab and a portion of the midsole. This matches the print found beneath the translucent outsole as well. The right shoe’s heel also hosts the Nike EYBL logo in place of the Jumpman branding.
At the time of writing, neither Jordan Brand nor Nike Basketball have discussed the purpose of this Air Jordan 3 “EYBL” colorway. Stay tuned for possible updates regarding the shoe, however, it is likely planned as an exclusive for EYBL participants and is not expected to ever reach retail shelves.
