Original Story: It’s been almost a decade since Jordan Brand last released the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Chicago,” but that latency period may be drawing to a close. Rumors have begun swirling that the low-cut take on Michael Jordan‘s first signature sneaker is set to return in the fall of 2025.

The forthcoming “Chicago” release will reportedly feature a “Black/Muslin/Varsity Red” color scheme, indicating that it may feature artificially aged detailing a la the popular Air Jordan 1 “Chicago Reimagined” from 2022. If the release does indeed come to fruition, the “Chicago” will be one of several low-cut Air Jordan 1s released in 2025, as both an Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Phantom” and a fragment design x Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG have also been rumored to touch down.

When (or if) the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Chicago” does hit shelves, it’ll mark the style’s first return to market since 2016, a year when Jordan Brand rolled out several OG Air Jordan 1 Low colorways — many of which made their way to outlets and were available for well under retail.

Stay tuned for more info and the reveal of images as the release date draws closer.
