Summary

  • AURALEE and New Balance continued their partnership by presenting two takes on the CT500 at Paris Fashion Week back in January
  • We offered an exclusive look at the sneakers, highlighting the premium rendering of the shoes
  • Now, both are scheduled to drop from October 24 through October 31 via various channels

Update: AURALEE and New Balance have worked closely together over the past few years, producing premium footwear presented during the Japanese label’s runway shows at Paris Fashion Week. For Fall/Winter 2025, the duo has prepared two takes on the CT500, which, after being previewed in January, are now finally scheduled to drop. The brown pair utilizes nubuck and mesh while the off-white version of the shoe favors a perforated leather at the upper. Per usual, AURALEE branding is tucked out of sight, resting at the sockliner. The rollout for this launch begins on October 24, when AURALEE will release its inventory at a price of ¥22,000 JPY (approx. $146 USD). From there, the HANKYU UMEDA MAIN STORE has a release set for October 27 and New Balance plus select global stockists have a drop planned for October 31.

Original Story: Japanese designer Ryota Iwai and his brand AURALEE continues to build on its New Balance partnership with another collaboration. Earlier last summer, the brand unveiled the 475 in two new colorways during its Paris Fashion Week SS25 runway show. This time around for the Fall/Winter 2025 season, AURALEE has debuted a new New Balance T500 collaboration.

The tennis shoe silhouette is an everyday sneaker that redefines casual athletic footwear. While it was originally made for the courts in 1982, the shoe has been reintroduced in as the go-to early ’80s-inspired tennis shoe for current times. The shoew as previously made popular with several Aimé Leon Dore and now, it receives another resurgence as AURALEE’s silhouette of choice for FW25.

Constructed out of premium materials, the shoe embodies simplicity and elegance that is fit for everyday wear. This time around AURALEE and New Balance have dropped two special colorways for the FW25 season. Debuted on the runway, the T500 is set to release in “Brown” hue along side a premium “Lime Green” colorway. The added perforated toe-box makes way for breathability as the shoe is constructed out of premium leather. The color combinations are subtle and neutral, going for the tonal color scheme. The shoe comes with co-branded AURALEE and New Balance insoles and will arrive in a custom shoe box.

Stay tuned for the official release date of the upcoming FW25 AURALEE x New Balance CT500 collaboration.
