Summary

  • WIND AND SEA and Audio-Technica reveal second Sound Burger collaboration
  • The release includes co-branded apparel like a white T-shirt and a redesigned record bag
  • The collaboration will be available starting May 12

WIND AND SEA collaborates with Audio-Technica for a second time on the Sound Burger. The Sound Burger, initially released in the 1980s, gained a cult following for its unique and portable design that allowed vinyl enthusiasts to listen to records on the go. This filled a specific need and unique niche during the popularity of portable cassette players.

This new collaboration mirrors their previous effort. It features a limited-edition AT-SB727 WS Sound Burger record player. Alongside the record player, a selection of apparel and accessories are also available. All items in the collection are imbued with distinct co-branding from both WIND AND SEA and Audio-Technica. It also features updated designs of popular items from their first collaboration. Specifically, the T-shirt and Multi Record Bag now come in a new, refreshing white color, suitable for the summer season. The Multi Record Bag also highlights a new design with a detachable compartment that’s specifically designed for storing the Sound Burger.

Available starting May 12, the collaborative AT-SB727 WS Sound Burger will be available to order via WIND AND SEA as well as Audio-Technica’s online stores with a price tag of ¥ 39,600 JPY (approx. $273 USD). Meanwhile, the limited-edition T-shirt and Multi Record Bag are only available for pre-order through both brands’ webstores between May 12 – 18.
