Kid Cudi Returns With "Neverland"
An indie-inspired offering that precedes Cudder’s short film of the same name – and an imminent new album entitled ‘FREE.’
The Moon Man has made his return to Earth. Marking his first new song of 2025, Kid Cudi has lifted the veil on new studio single “Neverland,” a project he’s been building up to in recent weeks.
Cudi announced he’ll be making his Tribeca Film Festival debut with the premiere of his short film of the same name, presumed to be a longer form music video for the track.
Neverland isn’t Cudi’s first foray into the film space – with recent roles in X, Trap and his own Entergalactic – though it is his most grandiose visual endeavor. The film features direction from Cudi’s X collaborator Ti West, production from Jordan Peele‘s Monkeypaw Productions and the musician himself alongside Kiernan Shipka.
As for “Neverland” the solely sonic offering, the nearly four-minute track ushers in a new era for the rapper, taking an upbeat indie-inspired tone.
“MY NEW SINGLE NEVERLAND IS OUT NOW!!!,” Cudi wrote in an Instagram caption. “My friends, I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time. I hope u all enjoy it. I really put my heart and soul into this jam, now, u can listen and take this w you in ur life. Bringing u joy w each listen 😌 To all my fans, I Love You, this one is from the heart like always. 🙏🏾❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 Have fun in Neverland ☺️✌🏾.”
