SVD Madrid Goes Red for Willy Chavarria x adidas Originals Pop-Up
The only place to shop the latest collab in Spain.
Spain’s dedicated fashion retailer SVD (sivasdescalzo) is set to welcome the Willy Chavarria x adidas Originals Spring/Summer 2025 collaboration into its Madrid location this week with a special in-store pop-up.
The newly unveiled collection comprises two drops, one of which launches on May 8, and features some of the streetwear pieces that appeared in the designer’s fashion week showcase. Crafted to emphasize Chavarria’s storytelling around Mexican “Chicano” culture, the inaugural offering delivers oversized black tracksuits with red adidas branding and rose emblems, gaping mid-length shorts, and a retro look sweatshirt. The launch is also supplemented with the Chavarria Jabbar Low, a dressy version of the chunky 1978 basketball shoe.
Being the only place to stock the first drop in Spain, SVD prepares a striking in-store takeover that plays on the duotone of the collection. In the main atrium, freshly painted red walls host a mixture of campaign images and dual-branded logos while ceilings are lit up with red spotlights. Adding to the dramatic and slightly gothic look, antique candelabra and trailing roses are placed between mannequins and rails holding the ready-to-wear range.
Speaking on the in-store pop-up, CEO of SVD Rubén García shares, “Willy Chavarria’s work challenges convention and speaks to a bold new era of expression. We’re excited to bring this energy to Madrid and create a space where the collection can be experienced beyond the product.”
