Pharrell's Met Gala 2025 Jacket Is Made With 15,000 Pearls

Dandyism showed up and showed out and Pharrell did not disappoint in the details. The Louis Vuitton menswear creative director wore a custom tailored pearl-encrusted cropped, double-breasted blazer.
According to GQ, the in-house artisans at Louis Vuitton spent 400 hours to make the blazer, stitching 15,000 pearls together. Keeping the blazer as the point of emphasis for his entire outfit, the multi-hyphenate paired it with a simple crisp, white shirt and black tie to match is black flared trousers. To accessorize, he wore a pair of black sunglasses inspired by the LV Trunk details, a pair of yellow diamond earrings and a gold set of grills.
He revealed to Essence on the blue carpet that they were in fact his Invisaligns. Skateboard P said, “I used my Invisalign trays and got them done in gold.” He also spoke to the outlet regarding the theme, “It’s a part of the American heritage. It’s an opportunity to be creative. That’s the American thing. We’re able to tell our story, and so, when you think about the craftsmanship the pearl pinstripes is just icing on the cake. It’s just letting you know like, this is America and you can do and be anything that you want to be. It’s a beautiful story.”
