Rihanna Shares Updates on Her Next Album 'R9'
Opening up about what fans can expect of the album at the Met.
While Rihanna stunned the world once again with her Met Gala outfit choice once again, she also sent shockwaves through her fanbase when she revealed her baby bump just ahed of the event. Naturally, fans began speculating if this meant that her next album R9 would receive an other delayed release.
Back in 2020, Rihanna shared that she was working on new music for her fans, “Music is still my first love, so I can’t wait to put something out that I’m really proud of and excited about. It is probably gonna be sooner than my fans think, but I’m just gonna leave that alone.” Now, five years later, fans are still anticipating the release of her album. On the steps of the Met, ET caught up with the pop star, asking how she is enjoying her third pregnancy so far, “I’m good, I’m shockingly feeling okay and not too overwhelmed at the moment.” The interviewer continued to ask, “Is this putting R9 on pause even longer? Because you were in production.” Rihanna replied playfully, “No…Maybe a few videos, but I could still sing.”
