Introduced at sacai‘s SS25 runway show last Summer, the Japanese label’s Nike Zegamadome finally drops next week in three versatile colorways. Expanding upon their rich history of footwear collabs, the sneaker is characterized by sacai’s deconstructed design aesthetic with big and bold details.
Leading the lineup is a multicolor model that evokes industrial sensibilities, featuring a mixture of gray and black details with bright yellow accents. sacai has also unveiled pared-back colorways, including a tonal off-white and black variant. The off-white colorway leans traditional, combining titanium white details with beige suede and natural rubber outsoles, while the black variant is the most minimal in its execution. Aside from the white midsole, the all-black design transforms the complex design into a sleek monochromatic option.
Uppers comprise suede, rubber, and a mixture of fabric panels for a dynamic look akin to a work boot. The sneaker’s body is built around bulky details, including a protruding heel bumper, a multi-faceted lacing system, and prominent eyestay covers. On the bottom, Vibram soles with added treks give the sneakers optimal traction, while Nike’s ZoomX offers lightweight and comfortable cushioning.
