Nike Expands Kobe Bryant's Mamba Collection With Football-Focused Apparel
Expected to arrive around Mamba Day.
Ahead of this month’s Mamba Day, Nike expands its Kobe Bryant Mamba collection. The Kobe Brand has been expanding with more high-performance gears as well as sports lifestyle products featuring the late legend’s iconic sheath logo. Recently, Nike dropped the Kobe “Game Royal” collection as a nod to baseball and Dodgers fans.
The latest collection looks to the sport of football, with a gridiron-inspired set of pieces. The Swoosh’s sub brand sees a Nike Mamba football jersey that appears in both a “Home” black and “Away” white. Both of them feature Bryant’s jersey numbers with the front and left sleeve reading “8” and the “24” on the back and right sleeve. Above the rear number is “MAMBA” while the upper part of the jersey and the sleeves feature a snakeskin pattern.
Beyond football jerseys, the full athletic-focused collection features more lifestyle pieces like button-down shirts, baggy pleated pants, athletic track pants, shorts, tops and more all featuring the Mamba branding. The collection arrives in a white and black color scheme throughout and is anticipated to arrive around Mamba Day which is on April 13.
