Saint Laurent And Bang & Olufsen Just Dropped a Really Expensive Turntable
The limited edition restoration piece could be yours for the steep price of $31,000.

For their fifth collaboration, Saint Laurent Rive Droite and Bang & Olufsen are back, this time the iconic Beogram 4000c turntable.
The turntable was originally introduced in the 1970s and quickly became an era-defining piece of aesthetic sound equipment. For this release, Saint Laurent and Bang & Olufsen have restored ten original Beogram 4000c turntables, optimizing them for modern use. Each piece comes with a solid ziricote wood case, accented with aluminum details and individually numbered. However, hand-crafted restoration doesn’t come cheap. The modernized turntable will cost you €30,000 EUR (approximately $31,000 USD).
Saint Laurent and Bang & Olufsen’s collaboration initially began in 2017, a year after Anthony Vaccarello took over as creative director of the brand. Previous iterations of the partnership have included the Beoplay 8 earbuds, the Beoplay speaker, and the extremely limited Beosound A9.
In addition to Bang & Olufsen, Saint Laurent has also collaborated with Fender, opened a Paris outpost of LA-based restaurant Sushi Park, and hosted a series of art exhibitions in the newly renovated Rive Droite spaces. Partnerships such as these are representative of Vaccarello’s efforts to transform Saint Laurent from a fashion house into a highly curated experiential lifestyle brand.
The Beogram 4000c turntable is not for sale yet but will be in the coming weeks at Saint Laurent Rive Droite stores in Paris and LA as well as online at YSL.
