Playboi Carti Sets New Billboard Hot 100 Chart With 'MUSIC'
His latest album also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Playboi Carti has set a new record on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, mostly thanks to his latest project MUSIC.
Billboard reports that Carti is now the first rapper to log at least 30 tracks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in a single week. A total of 31 songs land on this week’s chart, including all 30 of MUSIC’s tracks and The Weeknd’s “TIMELESS.” He officially overthrows Drake’s previous record of 27 entries from July 2018.
Carti’s new record makes him only the third overall artist to achieve this feat, just behind Morgan Wallen’s 36 tracks and Taylor Swift’s 32 and 31 entries.
