Update: Nike is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 95 by bringing back its “Big Bubble” tooling from the model’s OG era. This “Triple Black” pair is one of many to sport the throwback styling and has now officially been unveiled by the Swoosh, highlighting its all-black finish. We remain without a release date for the pair, however, it’s likely to arrive in the coming months via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $175 USD. Original Story: It’s been 30 years since Nike first introduced us to the Air Max 95, a silhouette that has cemented itself in sneaker history as an icon. To celebrate this milestone, the Swoosh has prepared many exciting projects involving the sneaker. Not only is UNDEFEATED rumored to have five colorways on the way, A Ma Maniére and Corteiz are due to drop their latest takes on the model later this season.
Adding to the festivities, Nike is turning back time and revisiting the “Big Bubble” tooling of its original look — an approach the brand previously took with the Air Max 1 in 2023. Presented here in “Triple Black,” the shoe is absent of color, save for a blue tint present at the enlarged Air windows, highlighting its adjusted build that sees the Air bubbles bursting out of the shoe’s standard shape.
At the time of writing, Nike has not yet confirmed when its big bubble version of the Air Max 95 will be returning.
