Update: Back in February, we discussed a new “Carbon Fiber” iteration of the Air Foamposite One. Now, a complete look at the sneaker has been offered by the Swoosh ahead of its launch later this month. The upper embraces the carbon fiber texture throughout, maintaining a gray and black composition that continues throughout the sneaker. The lone color contribution comes courtesy of the outsole, which sports an icy translucent finish. Look out for the colorway to arrive on shelves on October 24 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $240 USD.
Original Story: It’s officially Nike Air Foamposite One season. The bulky model starred in exciting campaigns featuring the likes of Tekken 8 and COMME des GARÇONS last year and just returned in its legendary “Galaxy” look for NBA All-Star Weekend. There seems to be plenty more colorways en route as the upcoming “Black/Volt” pair is now joined by a rumored “Carbon Fiber” pair.
According to a new report from reputable sneaker industry insiders zSneakerHeadz and Sneaker Files, Nike is set to drop an Air Foamposite One “Carbon Fiber” colorway by the end of the year. While we lack a first look at the pair, it’s noted that this mock-up’s exact color blocking is expected to be present across the sneaker.
At the time of writing, Nike has not yet confirmed that this rumored “Carbon Fiber” colorway of the Air Foamposite One will be dropping this year.
