Project 2005, a hybrid cultural and retail space located in São Paulo’s Largo da Batata, has successfully completed its first 100 days of operation. The initiative, co-founded by SneakersBR and Guadalupe with Hypebeast Brasil as media partner, occupies a 400m² modular warehouse and is slated to run from August 2025 to September 2026.
Named in reference to a culturally significant year, the project functions as a platform designed to foster experiences that honor the past while building the future of art, fashion, music, and sport.
The space has quickly established its relevance in the city’s creative landscape, hosting over 20 events and attracting more than 10,000 visitors in its initial phase. Its modular structure allows for weekly adaptations, accommodating a diverse program of exclusive launches, pop-up shops, and cultural talks.
Founders emphasize the project’s mission to create genuine cultural connections. Ricardo Nunes of SneakersBR notes that 2005 was created “to host the most different formats of meetings and experiences”. Marco Twothousand of Guadalupe highlights the intent to amplify local narratives: “2005 is a place to tell stories that previously had no space and to connect in a real way with creative communities”.
The longevity of the project underscores confidence in the appetite for integrated retail and cultural experiences in the Brazilian market. With future plans that include a focus on the 2026 football events, Project 2005 continues its trajectory as a key cultural hub in São Paulo.
