Pyra is a technical apparel label focused on bridging outdoor functionality with streetwear-informed design. Founded by New Zealand-born designer Sam Moore and now based in the Gold Coast, the brand is shaped by Moore’s background in freestyle skiing and exposure to performance outerwear.
Growing up in alpine environments informed Moore’s understanding of technical construction, materials and weather protection. Pyra was developed to address a gap he identified in his own wardrobe: clothing that could perform in outdoor settings while remaining appropriate for everyday use.
For Spring/Summer 2026, Pyra has released “Scenic Route,” a collection built around adaptability and material performance. Drawing from Australian landscapes, the range includes lightweight 20K shell jackets, nylon parachute pants, cargo-style shell outerwear, breathable sports tops, strapback headwear and graphic T-shirts. The range focuses on durability, weather resistance and ease of movement.
