Dickies Holiday Offerings are “Made for Keeps”
The utility workwear brand highlights must-have gifts alongside LA-based ceramicist Danny Dooreck.
You can do it all in Dickies. The workwear brand gained a cult following for its practical wearables, namely its classic Chinos. The pair is renowned for its durability, but has also become a fan favorite for its versatile cut. This holiday season, it’s not about what’s given, but what’s kept. To showcase this, Dickies spotlights its “Made for Keeps” campaign by tapping potter Danny Dooreck for favorite items he keeps on rotation.
Dooreck started his Los Angeles-based ceramics studio, Danny D’s Mud Shop, with humble beginnings. The operation began as a small ceramics company run out of a garage in Echo Park, and now he creates expressive designs inspired by Western Americana art and traditional tattooing from his own brick-and-mortar space in East Hollywood.
When he’s working, he’s no stranger to “mud” stains or mishaps; he’s adamant that what he wears has to be able to keep up with his work, so Dickies pieces are always prime choices. “Made for Keeps” is all about celebrating not only what’s shiny and new, but the gifts that stand the test of time. Dooreck built Danny D’s Mud Shop from the ground up, so he knows a thing or two about resilience, and when working with raw, unpredictable materials, he relies on Dickies essentials, built to endure and evolve with him.
The “Made for Keeps” campaign highlights items like the Blanket Lined Duck Canvas Jacket, a tough yet comfortable outerwear staple built for the cold. Other items, like the Duck Work Jacket and the Flannel Work Shirt, are notable classics you can layer together and wear outdoors or inside the garage or studio when you need to get the job done. Lastly, a piece like the Waxed Canvas Double Front Bib Overalls gives you that extra layer of protection and durability for even the toughest tasks. If you’re shopping for the DIY-er in your life, Dickies “Made for Keeps” staples will support them throughout their projects and beyond.
Mechanic Willem Verbeek and architectural designer Abigail Zuckerman also star alongside Dooreck in the brand’s holiday campaign. Check out the full range of workwear they’re sporting for more gift ideas at dickies.com.
