adidas and Pharrell Williams have announced a surprise, limited release of a new iteration of the VIRGINIA Adistar Jellyfish, presented in an elegant Triple Black colorway. This exclusive debut is currently scheduled for New York City only. The launch was initially teased throughout the city with a playful campaign featuring an “Imported from Virginia” delivery truck, which was spotted at several iconic landmarks leading up to the official drop.
The Adistar Jellyfish silhouette itself is a captivating blend of art, technology, and playfulness, directly inspired by marine life. Its design pays homage to the jellyfish, incorporating an exaggerated midsole that mimics the creature’s fluid motion. The layered mesh upper and exterior components introduce dimensional movement and futuristic depth, collectively pushing the design boundaries of the archival Adistar. Finishing the design are subtle glow-in-the-dark elements and custom “Jellyfish” and “VIRGINIA” branding on the insole and tongue, which firmly roots the concept within Pharrell’s distinctive creative vision.
The Triple Black colorway will be available in limited quantities exclusively in NYC before its wider global release in 2026. The release will be staggered across two dates: December 4 at Billionaire Boys Club Soho, followed by a launch at the adidas 5th Avenue Flagship on December 5.
