The fragment design x Fujifilm GFX100RF “Fragment Edition” is a limited collaboration that merges imaging technology with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s minimalist design aesthetic.
Based on Fujifilm’s flagship GFX100RF medium-format mirrorless camera, the special edition introduces a distinctive blacked-out finish with polished surfaces and finely crafted details. The top case and anodized aluminum body are hand-polished to create a glossy, mirror-like, deep black finish, providing a luxurious luster distinct from the standard version’s matte texture. As a finishing touch, Fujiwara’s signature lightning bolt logo is subtly placed on the top case and accompanying accessories.
Beyond its exterior, the Fragment Edition incorporates exclusive design cues such as the fragment design logo displayed on startup, a custom leather strap crafted from a single hide, and accessories finished to match the camera’s unique aesthetic. It also debuts a dedicated monochrome film simulation recipe called FRGMT BW, developed in collaboration with Fujiwara, which emphasizes strong tonal contrasts, gritty textures and dramatic shadow play — ideal for black-and-white photography enthusiasts.
The camera retains the technical specifications of the standard GFX100RF, including its 102-megapixel sensor and advanced image processing capabilities, but is offered as a highly collectible model. Priced at ¥998,000 JPY (approx. $6,375 USD), the camera is exclusively sold in Japan via a lottery system through Fujifilm Mall, with pre-orders beginning on December 20, 2025.
