The watch’s unusual premise fuses a Slavic folk tale about a frog princess with Japanese samurai symbolism, specifically referencing the resilience and luck associated with the frog (kaeru). The dial design immediately captures attention with its frog-inspired motif. The regulator’s separate hour, minute, and second displays are artfully reinterpreted as facial features: the eyes formed by subdials and the mouth suggested by the curved minute track. This anthropomorphic approach transforms the watch into a character, echoing Chaykin’s Wristmons series while maintaining Louis Erard’s regulator heritage.
