Hermès has expanded its contemporary H08 collection with a bold, high-performance timepiece: the new H08 Chronograph “Jaune de Naples.” This latest iteration introduces a chronograph function to the line, continuing the H08’s commitment to bridging the gap between technical rigor and refined design.
The new chronograph preserves the collection’s cushion-shaped geometry but increases presence with a 44 mm case crafted from a carbon fiber composite, coated with graphene powder and framed by a sunburst satin-brushed ceramic bezel with mirror-polished chamfers. The overall construction emphasizes all-terrain durability, with an anti‑glare sapphire crystal, a decorated caseback and 10 bar water resistance to suit an active lifestyle.
The “Jaune de Naples” name comes from the vibrant yellow-varnished seconds and counters hands, which provide a stark contrast to the black-gold-treated and blackened dial. This monochromatic backdrop is accented by rhodium-plated applied Arabic numerals coated with Super-LumiNova for high legibility.
At the heart of the H08 Chronograph sits the Manufacture Hermès H1837 automatic movement paired with a monopusher chronograph module. The combined architecture comprises 212 components, 34 jewels and is tuned to 28,800 vph with a 46‑hour power reserve. The Hermès‑finished mainplate and bridges show circular graining, snailed motifs and a sprinkling of H motifs on the oscillating weight, while the module delivers chronograph functions alongside hours, minutes, a small seconds at 3 o’clock and a date at the 4:30 mark, all operated through a black PVD‑coated titanium crown and monopusher control.
Priced at $12,800 USD, the H08 Chronograph Jaune de Naples is only available via physical Hermès boutiques.
