When Supreme and Number (N)ine first linked up over the summer, the streetwear world came to a screeching halt in utter shock; the two streetwear titans were finally teaming up on their debut delivery of dual-minded apparel.
The August drop spanned a two-toned Number (N)ine x Supreme varsity jacket stamped with Mickey Mouse embroidery, laying the foundation for the prominent pairs’ joint collaborative design language as a singular unit.
For Fall/Winter 2025, however, the labels are looking to build upon the summer season’s groundwork to level up their garments and expand the selection. While taking the Supreme x Number (N)ine shared language to new heights, the new collection is rooted in heritage and history, dipping back into the Takahiro Miyashita-led Number (N)ine’s Disney design roots.
Across Number (N)ine and TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist, Miyashita has revelled in themes of Americana, reworking and reimagining traditional motifs through his distinct creative lens. Miyashita has moved Mickey Mouse to a plethora of different backdrops, re-outfitting him in different personas, aesthetics, and colorways across a myriad of graphic goods.
In the Number (N)ine universe, Mickey has truly lived many lives, appearing on some of the brand’s graphics as a rockstar, others with a revamped skull head, and, in some, doused in a more subtle, monochromatic color palette.
The new Supreme x Number (N)ine drop naturally builds on the nostalgic ethos, placing the Disney character at the forefront of the three new pieces. Spanning a varsity jacket, a graphic tee, and a hat, Mickey Mouse’s rockstar alias is revived across the well-tailored trio, seen standing up, holding a retro microphone.
