Hermès is adding two fresh colorways to its contemporary sports-watch family with new H08 editions in Bleu de Malte and Blanc Chantilly.
First introduced in 2021, the H08 has become one of the Maison’s most distinctive modern watch designs, defined by a cushion-shaped case that sits somewhere between a circle and a square, oversized graphic numerals and an emphasis on contrasting technical materials. The latest pair retains that familiar 39mm architecture, but shifts the character through cooler, lighter tones: both use a braided glass-fibre composite case coated with aluminum, framed by satin-brushed ceramic bezels with mirror-polished chamfers and finished with color-matched rubber straps.
The Bleu de Malte version takes the sportier approach, pairing its blue ceramic bezel and rubber strap with a rhodium-plated, crystal-sandblasted dial. Applied ruthenium-plated Arabic numerals are filled with blue Super-LumiNova, while blue PVD-coated hands and a choice of orange or blue minute-track accents sharpen the contrast.
Its Blanc Chantilly counterpart is considerably more tonal, using a white ceramic bezel, white lacquered dial and matching rubber strap to create an almost monochromatic treatment. Grey minute markings, ruthenium-plated numerals and black-gold hands add definition without disrupting the pared-back palette. Both retain the H08’s subtly offset date window at 4:30 and are water-resistant to 10 bar, keeping their cleaner aesthetic grounded in everyday practicality.
Inside both watches is the automatic Hermès Manufacture H1837 caliber, a 193-component movement running at 4 Hz and delivering a 50-hour power reserve. Its finishing includes circular graining, snailing, satin-brushed bridges and an oscillating weight decorated with Hermès’ repeating “H” motif.
