Kim Jones has officially stepped down from his role as the artistic director of Dior Men. Marking an end of an era at Dior, the house announced that after helming the menswear line since 2018, the British designer was the most recent Fall 2025 collection. Jones’ exit has long been speculated and rumors ran high during the past menswear fashion week in Paris. Now, after Jones has been awarded France’s highest distinction, the chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur by none other than long-time friend and Vogue‘s Anna Wintour, Jones leaves his role at Dior with much to desire and reminisce.

In an official statement from Delphine Arnault, chairman and CEO of Dior shared, “I am extremely grateful for the remarkable work done by Kim Jones, his studio, and the ateliers. With all his talent and creativity, he has constantly reinterpreted the house’s heritage with genuine freedom of tone and surprising, highly desirable artistic collaborations.” Jones himself added his note of gratitude to LVMH as well as the Dior team, “It was a true honour to have been able to create my collections within the House of Dior, a symbol of absolute excellence. I express my deep gratitude to my studio and the ateliers who have accompanied me on this wonderful journey. They have brought my creations to life. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the artists and friends I have met through my collaborations. Lastly, I feel sincere gratitude towards Bernard and Delphine Arnault, who have given me their full support.”

Jones was a graduate from Central St. Martins College of Art and Design before he started his own eponymous brand between 2003 and 2008. In 2011, he joined Louis Vuitton as their new artistic director of men’s ready-to-wear. He held the position for five years and engineered major landmark streetwear and luxury crossovers, including bringing Supreme branded pieces to LV, sparking the beginning of a new skatewear trend for the 2010s and beyond. Following LV, he was made the artistic director of Dior Homme from 2018 until 2025. At Dior Men’s he continued to explore collaborations, marking his first show with a team up with KAWS and later with the likes of Shawn Stussy, Eli Russell Linnetz and Stone Island. He also launched the house’s first ever Dior Men’s couture collection. Between 2020-2024, Jones took on the role as artistic director of Fend’s women’s collection, a role formerly occupied by the famous Karl Lagerfeld.

When Jones debuted his Fall 2025 collection earlier this month, many theorized that it would be his last. The collection featured muted tones, contrasting the usual pop colors he often brings to his collection. An emotional season, it is now more apparent than ever that it was a reflection of his time at the house of Dior. The collection leaves a solemn note as the industry readies Jones’ exit from the house. Hypebeast went backstage at Jones last show, as well as attended the show in full. It remains to be seen where Jones will head next.
