At the top of every year, McDonald’s Japan embraces the Japanese New Years tradition of gifting “lucky bags,” as a symbol of good fortune and a lucky year ahead. This year, BEAMS is getting in on the fun, teaming up with the restaurant for a playful plethora of lucky bag toys.

Leading the lineup is a burger-shaped Big Mac Lantern, which slides upward to reveal its interior light and comes with a handle on top. Following it up is a Potato Hand Catcher, the functional, (almost) hands-free way to eat fries. One end is shaped like a hand; press the button and the hand picks up your fries for you.

A zip-up pouch arrives as the third item, which lands in three different iterations, each of which is adorned with pixelated images of burgers, fries and Grimaces throughout. Stamped in the middle is a McDonald’s logo with a BEAMS Design logo underneath. Closing it out comes three iterations of a microfiber cleaning cloth, similarly designed with pixelated images of burgers and fries.

Peep the full suite of BEAMS-built lucky bag toys above. The lucky bags are exclusively available to those who have already won the lottery.
