Stone Island Goes Ghost on New FW24 Garments
Presenting a new range of Stone Island Ghost jacketing and other monochromatic outerwear – including its New Balance 991v2 “Ghost” collab.
Stone Island Ghost has remained a home for some of Stone Island‘s most innovative designs, and the Italian imprint’s Fall/Winter 2024 “Ghost” release is no exception. With the Stone Island x New Balance 991v2 “Ghost” leading the range – revealed earlier this month – Stone Island’s latest “Ghost” garments are gorp-ier than ever before, donned by architect and designer Philippe Starck.
The collection marks a continuation of Stone Island’s “Community as a Form of Research” narrative, with a lineup of monochromatic outerwear – and an emphasis on jacketing – staying on theme with the core ethos and colorway of the New Balance 991v2 “Ghost.”
“Ghost pieces are based on the concept of camouflage and are totally monochromatic,” Stone Island clarifies in an Instagram caption.
In the lookbook, Starck dons the collection’s hero piece, the 710F2 Performance Twill Wool-TC hooded parka, on which even the Stone Island badge is reimagined in a monochromatic hue. Crafted from Merino worsted wool twill, the jacket is equipped with a wind-resistant resin coating on the interior, padded with feathers and treated to withstand the garment dying procedure. As for the hood, it splits down the middle into two halves, while slanted snap-closure pocketing sits on the chest. More pocketing presents itself further down on the silhouette as well, with two-way zip fastening hidden under the placket to complete the piece.
Elsewhere in the release, Stone Island serves up a slew of other tactical jackets – donned by actor Russell Tovey – including the Suede Sheepskin jacket, Heavy Melton jacket and Twill Wool Down jacket.
Check out the new Stone Island Ghost garments in the lookbook above, and expect the full Stone Island Ghost range to drop for purchase at the Stone Island official website on Saturday, September 21.
