Nike and Cactus Plant Flea Market Drop Pixelated Hockey Gear
A six-piece athletic capsule.
A new Nike and Cactus Plant Flea Market is dropping and this time, it is taking inspiration from hockey gear. The athletic silhouette has become a staple amongst streetwear brands, throwing soccer, football and basketball jerseys into the mix. With winter season is coming up, so is hockey season — and there is no better time than now for CPFM to hop on the hockey train.
Nike and Cynthia Lu‘s CPFM have collaborated on many apparel collections before. Bringing her eclectic and electric signature touch to wardrobe staples like her Grinch-sque dunks to now, pixelated hockey jerseys, the designer’s pieces are sought-after time after time. Arriving two years since their last clothing drop, CPFM and Nike are back with a six-piece capsule that focuses on a hockey jersey, goalie jersey, long-sleeve polo jersey set, track pants and hockey shorts. Each of the pieces are imbued with splashes of color, true to the CPFM playful graphics and both label’s co-branding.
The pixelated graphics emulate the animated aesthetic found in early video games. Throughout the pieces, the Nike Swoosh and CPFM motifs take center stage arriving in a vibrant mix of colors. CPFM took to its Instagram with to write yesterday that the collaboration will be dropping tomorrow (September 24) at 12 p.m. EST online.
