French Footballer Jules Koundé Stars in the Latest Jacquemus Campaign
A surrealist campaign to celebrate the FC Barcelona as the face of “La Casa” collection.
French footballer and FC Barcelona‘s Jules Koundé is the star of Jacquemus latest “La Casa” campaign. Koundé is the new face of “La Casa,” the collection that was shown at the end of the spring this year in Capri at the Villa Malaparte, which was also the set for Jean-Luc Godard’s 1963 French New Wave drama film, Contempt.
Staying true to Simone Porte Jacquemus‘ knack for using the surrealist archetypes to tell his brand stories, the campaign mixes a French mansion made of paper as the backdrop to a sky-blue cardigan and hyper pink tie paired with zebra-striped loafer. After rugby player Yoann Maestri and singer Bad Bunny, Koundé is Jacquemus’ latest muse, as he is photographed in monochromatic, coastal knits and trouser shorts, perched on top of a mountain of suitcases. In the campaign, he is also dressed in an all-black ensemble, driving in a mini car while in another still, he irons a classic yellow Jacquemus polo shirt in a preppy, school boy aesthetic styling that features a blazer and a striped tie. Koundé also sports Jacquemus’ rectangular loafers next to the Le Grand Turismo handbag.
Those who know Koundé know that he is never one to shy away from bold fashion choices. He once wore a Simone Rocha skirt paired with a tank top and Timberlands that created buzz that sent the football and fashion world in a frenzy. His street style drip goes beyond the football pitch and now takes him to new heights as Jacquemus’ latest campaign star. Take a look at the campaign above or below.
