G-SHOCK has just unveiled a new timepiece and apparel collaboration with California-based surf lifestyle and ocean preservation brand, Western Hydrodynamic Research.

The collaborative watch, an “Ocean Blue” GLX-5600WHR-2ER, features 20-bar water resistance, plus critical tools for surf and marine sports, including tide and moon graphs. Encapsulating the collaborator’s shared passion for the ocean, the design embodies harmony with nature. Meanwhile, the bezel and band are made with bio-based resins produced using renewable organic plant resources, helping to reduce the ecological footprint of the timepiece.

The watch also features a Super Illuminator (high-brightness LED backlight) for readability in the dark, a custom decal with the WHR motif on the watch face, and an engraved back plate with the WHR logo.

In a first for G-SHOCK, the brand will simultaneously launch an apparel capsule collection with WHR. The limited-edition offering includes a new cap, two graphic T-shirts, and two graphic hoodies, all designed with a slew of co-branding throughout.

Both the watch and apparel collection are UK exclusives, and will be available in limited quantities. Take a look at he campaign imagery above, and head to the official G-SHOCK website to grab your favourite pieces now.
