Margot Robbie Is the New Face of Chanel No.5
Taking over from Marion Cotillard.
Chanel has officially announced that Margot Robbie is the new face of its signature No.5 perfume. Taking over the role from Marion Cotillard, the Australian actor and the French luxury fashion house also released a campaign to coincide with the announcement
While the full Chanel No.5 campaign is slated to be revealed in October, this move is not unprecedented. Robbie has had a long-standing relationship with the house, having been their ambassador since 2018. Prior to the latest Chanel No.5 campaign, Robbie starred in Chanel’s Nuit Blanche beauty campaign. The Chanel No.5 scent has been a signature for the house for decades. Originally launched in 1921, the scent is considered one of the world’s most enduring fragrances.
Robbie steps into the role as the new face of the perfume after many big name ambassadors. French actress Marion Cotillard had been the face of the perfume since 2020. Fellow Australian actress Nicole Kidman and American icon Marilyn Monroe, also had their moments as the face of the fragrance. In an official statement surrounding her appointment, Robbie said that she is honored to join the “impressive lineage of women” who have been associated with Chanel No.5, “one of the most iconic fragrances in the world.” Take a look at parts of the campaign below.
