Bon Iver Officially Announces New Single "S P E Y S I D E"
The track and music video are both slated to drop this Friday.
After unofficially announcing his new sonic venture last week – by clearing all of his socials and sharing an ominous pre-save link – Justin Vernon has officially confirmed his next Bon Iver single is on the way.
Entitled “S P E Y S I D E,” the new Bon Iver cut is confirmed to be released globally this Friday, September 20.
Equipped with vocals and guitar from Vernon, viola and strings from Rob Moose and additional production by Ryan Olson, “S P E Y S I D E” signals Bon Iver’s first new studio release since “AUATC” and “PDLIF” in 2020, which followed up his last original studio album, i,i in 2019. The track is also set to be accompanied by a music video directed by Erinn Springer.

The official announcement arrives on the heels of Vernon’s handful of brief Instagram teasers, which feature abstract black-and-white footage and synth-heavy footage streaming in the back.
