Update: In case you missed it, Australian boutique Up There has been hard at work preparing its very own New Balance 860v2. Not only did they put together an eye-catching color scheme, but the duo also created a new zippered shroud and ripstop carrying bag for the silhouette. The shoe’s construction also features a mesh base and synthetic detailing while a neoprene tongue and 990v6 mesh lining further differentiate it. Release begins with a raffle via Up There that is open until October 30. The shoe is priced at $170 USD and will also drop via New Balance on November 1.
Update: It’s been a couple of months since we caught a first look at what Up There and New Balance have been cooking up. Now, a closer look at what to expect from the duo’s forthcoming collaboration involving the 860v2 has been shared. Its lime green and blue color composition is joined by a newly-spotted removable blue lace shroud and lace options that include pink, lime, blue and seafoam green. While a teaser for the project has now been shared, it’s unlikely to arrive on shelves until 2025 so stay tuned for more updates.

Original Story: Australian retailer Up There has an upcoming New Balance collaboration on the way. Giving a fresh new take on the classic 860v2 silhouette, Instagram account @smallgainz was the first to preview the shoe. Up There is no stranger to sneaker collaborations, previously partnering for the first New Balance 1906D collab as well as with other brands like ASICS. New Balance silhouettes are a familiar siting at Up There, with its 2002R “Backyard Legends” collab being a major it, centered around the typical Aussie backyard barbecue. This upcoming sneaker takes on Australia’s vibrant natural landscapes, incorporating hues of green, blue and brown, reminiscent of the country’s vast and diverse environments. The hints of blue give off a coastal touch while the greens are a nod to the lush forests. The shoe is constructed out of a mixture of mesh and synthetic overlays while the pop of pink gives an added detail to the shoe that sits atop an ABZORB cushioning. Look out for the collaboration arriving later this year.
