Saweetie Delivers Confident Anthem "My Best"
With a music video set at her old high school in Elk Grove, California.
After dropping her summer bop “NANi” in May, Saweetie has returned to round out the sun-drenched season with a confident new hit, titled “My Best.”
‘Ride fast, sip slow/ Forty-inch weave, that wind blow/ My body got me on my tiptoes/ You dusty h*** need a lint role/ I be minding my business/ But still be the topic of your conversation,” she raps in the first verse, which leads up to the chorus’ titular line: “You don’t deserve my best.”
The unapologetic track arrives alongside a music video, directed by WaterWippinEvan and Saweetie herself, that recounts the chart-topper’s growth and evolution. Set at her old high school in Elk Grove, California, the visual sees Saweetie filled with nostalgia while juxtaposing the artist’s present-day identity with shots of her as a child.

The single’s release is only Saweetie’s latest feat. Earlier this year, the hip-hop star dropped another anthem, titled “Richtivities;” she appeared as a guest star on STARZ’s BMF series, and she became a mentor NBC’s singing competition show, The Voice. Additionally, Saweetie dropped by Diljit Dosanjh’s sold-out Crypto Arena show to surprise fans with a performance of their track “Khutti.”
