Lil Yachty recently appeared on Andrew Schulz’s Flagrant podcast, speaking on the high-profile Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef.

Still a hot topic amongst the hip-hop world, Lil Yachty was asked about what he thought of the beef. He gives his two cents stating, “I think people are just hating on Drake because he’s the guy.” He revealed, “I wish I had never [spoken] on it. I wish I hadn’t said any part about it.” Yachty also touched on the incident that fans caught of him liking a post on X about Lamar allegedly cheating on his wife, “That really was an accident.” Circling back to the beef, Yachty explained, “Outside of the people who care about hiip-hop, [nobody gives a f**k] at all.”

Yachty is a longtime friend of Drake’s and has worked with the Canadian rapper on multiple occasions. He commented on Drake’s attitude toward the beef confirming he was unfazed, “He really didn’t give a f**k. He was unfazed. I respect it a lot and I talked to him. That s**t didn’t bother him. I never saw him down ever. I never saw kicking his f**king foot [or] holding his head down. [It got] to a point where I just stopped talking to him about it because I felt like I was the one bringing him the negativity.” Back in May, Lil Yachty spoke on the A Safe Place podcast and gave his insights on the battle, revealing that he thought that Drake was already “deemed a loser in this battle before it started.”
