The Propel Your City Project is bringing free fitness classes and organized runs to the public, popping up in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Newark, and Houston. Tagging along for the Texas leg of the tour, Hypebeast joined in on the action and attended some of the classes, hosted at the Houston hub.

Jessica Tran is an ICU nurse and fitness content creator who centers her practice around holistic wellness. Tran invited us for a yoga class as she kicked off the first weekend of the Propel Your City Project in her hometown. Hosted by Natasha Ponciano in partnership with the BLK Beetles, the class walked attendees through mindfulness rituals as well as beginner-level yoga poses. After the class, guests could recharge and refresh with their favorite Propel fitness water flavors, including Kiwi Strawberry, Berry, and Grape. “The reason why I love fitness so much is the community that comes from it,” Tran shares.

The following day, community engagement continued with a run led by a local organization, Latinas Run. JR Reyes, a competitive motocross racer, artist, and running enthusiast, joined for a 3-mile run followed by an instructor-led post-running yoga class. This class focused on stretches that helped to recover all the muscles used during the run, and guests left with tote bags filled with Propel swag — from beverage tablets to electrolyte hydration powder.
