Kehlani Joins Jordan Adetunji's Tribute Track "KEHLANI (REMIX)"
With an accompanying music video.
Jordan Adetunji has released a remix to his viral song “KEHLANI” featuring Kehlani herself. The song features a drill beat which Adetunji and Kehlani sing over in R&B style. While the original song was a tribute to Kehlani and her confidence as Adetunji sings “bad just like Kehlani is,” Kehlani adds her verse this time stating what she wants in a woman.
She sings “I like a bitch that match my energy, act like she into me / Tell the world you mine and you not what these bitches been to me / It’s plenty of fishes in the sea, I need me the biggest freak / Step out like my wife will bust me down like she my enemy.”
The accompanying video is set in a club with Adetunji starting off the video singing on the packed dance floor. The club empties when Kehlani joins for her verse, leaving the singer as the center of attention and then the duo closes out the video dancing and vibing together.
Adetunji reflects on working with Kehlani saying it “has been a great experience because I’ve been able to see her process, and how she sings, how she places things, and how she says her words. Even her just translating what I said on my song to her verse was just amazing, it was seamless.”
