Solid Homme Releases Capsule Designed by Jake Burt and Stefan Cooke
Inspired by late 2000s Americana style.
Solid Homme has released a capsule designed by Jake Burt and Stefan Cooke. The pieces elevate casual styles with high-fashion detailing for a collection that delivers quality, stylish classics. 2000s Americana influences run through the looks with the songs A Wooden Box by Factory Floor, Drum Courts by These New Puritans and Redlights by Salem becoming the collection’s inspiration. The capsule aims to bring back the late 2000s American Apparel street style in New York and Maine that faded away.
The collection takes on the streetwear/workwear aesthetic with relaxed silhouettes featuring an oversized, slouchy fit and a worn-in, faded style. The garment that embodies this best is the heavy-duty hoodie embellished with a washed-out look and white enameled studs. Enameled studs appear on most garments in some form as the detail adds a unique flair. Outerwear also keeps the simple but elevated theme like a police jacket coming in black leather and tan cotton or a denim jacket featuring the staple white studs.
American football jersey-style tees fully realize the Americana theme and denim jeans, an American classic, come in multiple simple styles. For accessories, a shearling-lined pilot helmet is folded and reimagined into a chic saddle bag. The entire collection is a cohesive vision of the uniform of the 2000s metropolitan man and every piece works with each other due to the recurring details.
