In a recent Instagram post by Hiroshi Fujiwara, the Japanese “Godfather of Streetwear” has teased a new FRGMT x Tamagotchi collaboration.

Last year, Fujiwara bought the nostalgic toy back in a special release. The Gen. 1 FRGMT Edition Tamagotchi comes in its iconic round-shaped case, with a border around its digital display emulating a cracked eggshell complete with three buttons below the screen. FRGMT’s hallmarked double-lightning-bolt logo sits above the display in a contrasting white hue, echoing the gadget’s other colored details.

The newly-teased edition faithfully reiterates last year’s release but with one noticeable change. The preceding version boasted a matte and rubber-like finish, while the new iteration sports a glossy appearance.

No official release dates have been announced at the time of writing. But as hinted by Fujiwara in the caption, this glossy new edition is expected to be released very soon.
