Fumito Ganryu Reunites With Dickies for FW24
Spicing up utilitarian garments with a transformative and playful vision.
Teaming up for the second time, Fumito Ganryu has delivered his latest Fall/Winter 2024 range featuring pieces that are co-created with Dickies. Synonymous with the brand’s usual approach, the collection is split between the Main Label and Red Label.
For the Main Label, the range comprises the 2Way Eisenhower Jacket and Side Slit Chino Pants, both offering 5 understatedly classic and failsafe colorways. Arriving in a relaxed fit, the jacket comes composed of Dickie’s signature twill fabric. Despite its classic utilitarian look, the jacket can be transformed into a poncho by opening the zipper on the front pocket lining. The matching pants also have the ability to switch up their form from straight to slightly flared simply by undoing the button on the hems.
Two distinct silhouettes are ALSO highlighted in the Red Label range, which includes the Distortion Eisenhower Jacket and Reverse Baggy Chino Pants. The former comes in a slightly cropped fit with an enlarged collar, topped with embellished with gold-tone hardware. With its dramatic flares and oversized silhouette, the pants also boast a complementing playful vibe to the jacket, Extra zippers are implemented at the back of jacket sleeves as well as the pant legs as unique adornments that alo easily transform the pieces’ proportions. While gray, dark brown and beige colorways are offered, bold colors such as red, orange and maroon are also available.
The new collection is now available through Fumito Ganryu’s official online shop as and physical stores, with pieces retailing from ¥33,000 JPY to ¥47,300 JPY (approx. $225 – $323 USD).
