Albino & Preto Celebrates Reggae Culture With Bob Marley Capsule Collection
Featuring martial arts training kit and apparel.
After releasing the SpongeBob SquarePants collection, Albino & Preto is back with a new Jiu-Jitsu capsule. This time, the lifestyle brand has unveiled its latest range inspired by reggae icon, Bob Marley.
Per usual, the collection consists of martial arts training kits and casual apparel. In celebrating Bob Marley’s cultural legacy, the pieces are imbued with the reggae legend’s iconography and photo print throughout. Red, green, yellow, alongside black and white make up the range’s key color palette. Specifically, the tri-color stripe is incorporated down the sleeves and trouser legs for the martial arts uniform.
A noteworthy piece from the apparel lineup is the varsity jacket with different colored sleeves. One sleeve boasts a red leathery look, while the other is in a dark green, both are complete with appliqué patches. When the sleeves are positioned together, they add up to read “ONE LOVE.” On the back of the jacket, a tufted and embroidered patch featuring the “BOB MARLEY” lettering can be spotted. Through the letter “O,” the design also depicts an arm raising the Rasta flag, symbolizing Bob Marley’s status as a Rastafarian icon.
