Actual Source and FreshService Reunite for Second Collection
Dropping online and in Tokyo on August 31.
Utah-based publisher, bookstore and creative studio Actual Source has joined forces with FreshService to drop another capsule of apparel goods. Founded by Takayuki Minami, who also runs the Japanese label Graphpaper, FreshService is known for its premium basics and homeware — while Actual Source has gained a cult-like presence, particularly in the world of graphic design, having worked with Nike on a number of projects, including the design of its No Finish Line book, as well as designing the lineup of publications for A24.
Keeping things simple, the latest in the Actual Source x FreshService partnership sees classic silhouettes cobranded with quirky graphic elements. Highlights include a boxy crewneck sweatshirt with an illustration of a man with a monocle and top hat opening a book within a library, while two other tees feature a typographic callout to Actual Source in a bubble and sans serif font.
Outside tees and sweats, there will also be a selection of hats, a comfy brown sherpa fleece track jacket with a matching pant, along with a striped shirt with red branding at the left chest. The second Actual Source x FreshService collection will drop online and at the Japanese label’s Shibuya storefront on August 31.
