Nike is upping the ante on its eyewear game with the reveal of the upcoming “Electric Pack.” Giving high performance sunglasses an avant-garde update, the pack features two sunglasses — the “Zeus” model and the “Athena.” Nike describes both pairs as the first “computationally designed” performance sunglasses to come out of their Oregon innovative centers. With “Zeus,” the sunglasses take on the shape of a protective mask and seems to feature added structures on the brow and lower eye. Perforated portions on the nose area give way for breathability and seem to take design notes from the Nike Windshield Elite 360. As for the “Athena” sunglasses, the abstract and asymmetrical shape is design-focused taking the iconic “Safari” print to the next level and just like the other pair, it is constructed with stainless steel arms and is screwless. Both are lightweight and are said to be inspired by the Olympics. Look out for the eyewear pieces dropping later this month.
